A valetta feast / carnival day!

So every little town has a weekend that they celebrate the Saint of that town, with decorations and marching bands, and lots of fireworks sounds (banging) throughout the day, and

This one was the valetta celebration celebrating St. Paul - whose wrecked boat bought Christianity to Malta!

Az had a good sleep on the bus there, all the valetta streets were decorated with these big hand painted banners, lots of tables set up selling noughat and very yummy halva!

We met Phil's Maltese friends and went to a authentic little Italian restaurant! Lots of yummy starters (eggplant balls!!!) - amazing ravioli and lasagna!

Then we went out to the street ... Lots of people out, lots of beer in hand, lots of standing around, this shredded paper been thrown from the Windows, people standing around, drinking beer, chatting, the small band comes past ... Our kids were pretty bored!

We left at about 5

The highlight - in true Jewish fashion, the lunch at the restaurant and the halva 😉
