A day full of interactions ...

WOW! It was one of those days (Mondays) that just was FULL of talking and positive interactions .. (I don't say this often - but I think I have actually used up my word limit for the day ... Phil can read this rather than me telling him everything) ... I'm writing down for memory!

So every morning we take the public bus that stops about 3 minutes walk from our flat ... and every morning this one Asian boy (about 16 years old with long hair) gets on with us and gets off at our stop ... it's taken us a while to realise that he goes to the high school part of ZaZ school (which is on a campus bit further away than the primary school) ... So slowly we have started to chat to him, and his older brother (and they have a younger brother) ... Today we realised they actually live in our complex! What a great bunch of boys. They have lived in Korea, Quatar and Phillipines! All international school (the school in Phillipines had over 100 kids per year, 10 classes per year) ... The older brother wants to study in UK and also get a job that allows him to live in different countries ... and I asked them all aboutt Korea (which i feel so ignorant that I know nothing about) - they have not been back to South Korea in 4 years!!!!

Dropped ZaZ at school ... Read Azi books in the school library ...

Then went to meet a lady called Dayla. I got her number from a Dad at the school ... But it ends up that she is Bernard Gork (in Sydney) cousin - and Bernard had given my mom her number!!! We 'chatted' on sms a few times and met for coffee today. WHAT a character! She told me about all about her life in Toronto for 12 years, then moved to Israel, then she told me the personalities and life story of each of her 4 daughters ... AMAZING what the girls do in the Israeli army, from her 1 daughter working 8 story's underground plotting the route for the soldiers in Jordan, to the other daughter handing out ammunition on the border ... Now she has 3 daughters married, one in London and others in Israel ... Husband got moved here for work ... I can see her becoming my big mate :)

Then went to meet a mom I met on FB (LOVE FB) ... She is Maltese but has lived in UK and worked as a pharmacist for 8 years. She is single and has twin girls age 3. She did not stop talking for 1 minute! Shame - her 1 twin is high risk for Autism - so she is doing a lot of home programmes and gets a lady in twice a week to teach her ... Really makes you appreciate your healthy kids!  (I don't think I will meet with her again ... this is like speed dating)

THEN it was BOILING and I was dressed in my Winter uniform ... So strolled home on promenade (hoping for Azi to sleep0 but she did not ... Came home and changed into SUMMER clothes! ... Packed my salad and headed off to the 'fake' beach sand by your house ... (They took a rocky beach and out this sand which is like tiny little stone ... hmmmm)

I met a stunning Austrian women who has lived here for 4 years (met her through the yoga lady in Sydney) ... she has a gorgeous 5 month old baby ... She is SO nice and eating healthy stuff etc ... Unfortunately our conversation was interrupted by Azi wee'ing and Poo'ing (first day in Undies all day)  and Playing on Beach ... Shame, she made a wee on beach and then said, 'lets bury it like sushi' ... Hoping to create a friendship with funky, healthy Austrian

Then walked to fetch ZaZ from school ... Chatted to the one mom who met an Italian women who her and her husband have rescued (by themselves in their boat) 12000 Asylum seekers ... Amazing

Home ... Phoned an Israeli guy who we met at Rabbi's house, who works in water here - and ZaZ is learning about water at school - he chatted to us for 30 minutes about the water problem in Malta! (Now I need to type that out)

And in other news ... Azi had a GREAT day in panties ... Wee'ed in different toilets, made 1 little accident at park - but we ran to toilet (which were surprisingly clean) and she finished there ... AND she made a poo at home in the toilet! BEYOND excited!!!
