Mom and Dad say ... 'Our little cutie pie is saying and doing the cutest
things at the moment ... let us try remember ...
- Everything is, 'Please Mom can roll down the window' 'Please Mom can I
open my brella now' ' Please mom can I have my dummy now' ... (this is
uually said with her hands clasped in front of her body - very
old-fashioned, very polite ... not too sure where she learnt it'
- I have aN idea ... Maybeeee (we can go get ice-cream... dig a hole)
etc etc
- I have a GOOD idea ... Maybeee
- Mom, 'ZaZ are you hungry' ... ZaZ: 'Hmmmmmm, NO!' or 'No Thank you'
- ZaZ likes to narrate everything she does ... for example, 'I was
sitting on Daddy's leg, then my baby chinno came, then I got off Daddy's
leg to eat my baby chinno' ...
- She also can re-tell a story really well, like she told Esther ...
'One Day Mom parked on a red line ... then the man came and clamped
mom's car ... and Mom shouted at the man' ..
- Yesterday at the play park ... a little girl said that she is a boy
... ZaZ comes to me, 'Mom that little girl said I am a boy'. Mom: 'Tell
the little girl that you are a girl'. ZaZa marches behind the little
girl (you can see her trying very hard to control her aggression) and
she marches with one hand in striding position, 'Little girl, little
girl (stern angry voice) I am not a big, I am a GIRL' ... and followed
the girl around the park saying this ... Shame man ..
- ZaZ does not miss a heart beat ... Phil and I can be having a very
quiet spoken conversation in front of the car when suddenly a voice
appears from the back of the car ... adding into the conversation
perfectly ...
- Tonight, just before ZaZ was about to close her eyes as she was
absolutely exhausted ... with a big smile through her dummy she sings,
'Mini Mandie Kwe' (happy birthday in Xhosa)
- Phil and I are always amazed at how even when we have completely
stretched ZaZ beyond limits ... she is still happy ... (90% of time ...
Day sleep overtiredness is the 10% of not happy at the moment)
- She arrives at Dani today with her present for Dani and runs in saying
'Here Dan, Da, Da, Da, Daaaaaa'
- When ZaZ tells a story she is excellent at voices and emphasising
words ... she loves to deepen her voice and say the things slowly, like
'I picked up the BIIIIIGGGG HEEEEAVY chair' ... with slow big actions to
match - too cute
- If you say to ZaZ, 'You run very fast' ... Yes, Thank you, I know' or
if you say, 'ZaZ you are very strong' .. 'Yes, I am strong' very
matter-of-factly she says it. Or, likes to emphasise (with her deep
voice) 'I am BIGGG and STRONNGG'
- HEY ... 'Hey Mom, let's go ... ' ... 'HEY GUYS ... let's run like
this' ... 'HEY, Dad ... listen to ME!' Very South African ...
We love you Pumpkin Patch ...
