Fishing, Fishing

The weather has been so beautiful lately ... ZaZ and I have been going
down to the rockpools by us ... baby chinno and lattes in hand ... ZaZ
LOVES using her fishing net ... after looking at the snails and baby
Star Fish ... ZaZ likes to fish her babychinno cup out! It is like
playing with a 'dog' (sorry, ZaZ) ... I throw the cup in and ZaZ fishes
it out ...

Mom Says ...

Mom says, 'A quick blog post ... before I forget ... because I have already forgot to much already ...
ZaZ loves to say, 'Remember I told you yesterday ... ' 'Remember I told you yesterday that my foot was sore' ...
- She often says, 'I have a good idea ... '

- As I am writing this, she is playing ball with Phil and has just said, 'I am angry ... ' because Phil bounced the ball and she did not want him to bounce the ball ...

- She loves telling people, 'I am 2, turning 3 in September, Spring'

- I am completely overwhelmed by her ability to re-tell stories ... she can basically tell me the whole story of Jack and the Beanstalk, about her falling at the book lounge, about Dani falling on the Monkeybars and loves to add, 'I was there' (about 4 million times) ... and the Charlie and Lola story of when Lola was not a Sun but an Autumn Leaf ... oh yes, and of Mom parking on the Red line and my tyre getting clamped.

- After her fall at the book lounge, we were walking on the promenade and I said, 'Dear Hashem, Thank you for the Sea, Birds etc ... Thank you for keeping ZaZ safe after her fall this morning ... Amen'.... about a minute later ZaZ turned around in her pram to face me and said, 'Tell Hashem Thank you for Dani's arm better' ... So I smiled ... then she shouted, 'Tell Hashem Thank you for Dani's arm better' .. and then I had to say, 'Thank you for makin Dani's arm better' ZaZa, 'Amen'

- ZaZ went through a phase when she didn't like making poo's... So I started to sing a song, 'We love poo's and wee's...' ... So now when she has a Poo in her nappy and I want to change it and she is busy ... she says, 'Don't worry Mom, we like Poo's' - very seriously ...

- 'Don't worry, Mom' is a common phrase ... if I lose my  keys, 'Don't worry Mom we will get another one at the shops' ... The light is broken, 'Don't worry Mom the man will come to fix them ..'

- HEY ... is a common word, 'Hey, Guys ... ', 'Hey, Hey, Hey, Hey ... I want to tell you something' ...

- At any time when Phil or I raise our voices just a bit, ZaZ says, 'Hey guys ... Calm down' ...

- They do Yoga at school and a Mantra each week ... This week I hear from the back of my car ... 'I am patient ... I am patient' ...

Before I forget ... Great gift for a kid turning 2 - DOCTOR's KIT ... ZaZ loves the Doctor Kid Naphtali gave her ...

She loves her tea set ...

Loves nail polish

Her favourite colour is Green ... and is very happy whenever she sees anything Green ... and is even happier when I say, 'Hey, ZaZ that's your favourite colour ... ' like I have just remembered ...

She loves her fairy skirts (although I try to hid them because I am bored of them)

She told me yesterday ... 'My Dad is the BEST' ...

I want to eat you every day ZaZa Poo! Pumpkin Patch! Angel! ZaZi! Zazu!

With all my heart, with all my soul, with all my might

I thank You, G-d for the gift of this wonderful child.

I thank You for a healthy pregnancy, a safe deliver and a speedy recovery.

 

With all my heart, with all my soul, with all my might

I pray for the continued health of this child.

I pray for her to be strong in mind and body,

To grow steadily and sturdily in a home filled with joy.

I pray for her to become a person who greets the world

With passion, courage, humility, humour and patience.

I pray for G-d to watch over me and my family.

I pray for the ability to love and nurture this child

To provide for her and to educate her,

To understand her and to allow her the freedom to grow.

 

 

Moms feeling all sentimental ...

Mom says, 'I went looking for all the things around a Simchat Bat for my friend, Karen's Simchat Bat on Tuesday ... Karen was the inspiration for my Simchat Bat ... 2 and a half years down the line ... I think ZaZ has lived up to her name ...

“Some of you may have noticed that the music we are playing in the background all have something in common … all these songs are about stars or sun, or sunshine or sunrise. This is because her Hebrew name, which means Star and because her English name is the Russian word for "sunrise," or "morning star”. Firstly, we feel it’s significant that we have chosen a name that is from the Russian vocabulary. As both Phil and I, and our families, are Jews from Aschkenazi descent. These are Jews predominately from Eastern Europe and spoke Russian. Secondly, and closer to home, Phil’s late grandfather, who he was named after, was from Russia. So the connections to our roots are definitely there and in her name.
Secondly, Phil and I, in addition to liking the name, we love the meaning of the name, sunrise, morning star. For us, these words create visual images of oranges and yellows, beautiful and different every single day of the year. It as if you can taste and smell the fresh and pure morning air. It sounds quite, gentle and peaceful. And as the sunrise touches you, it is warm and inviting.We feel this image of sunrise embodies all the qualities that we hope our daughter enters the world with and with which she approaches each and every day.
Sunrise makes one think of new beginnings, positivity, beauty, consistency and absolute purity and wonder. It is these traits that we hope our daughter adopts and spreads to all the people in her life. She truly is our sunrise and in her short time on Earth has managed to light up so many lives already.
We would like to welcome, celebrate and introduce to you Zaria Jankelowitz-Gelvan!!!!!”
There we go … her name is ZARIA … the pronunciation … the first A (zAria) is the sound in zAc and Apple … NOT the sound in star … J

... basically we were 'kicked-out' ... as the Aquarium was closing ...

got to the Aquarium ... I could not resist playing with Maddie
(unfortunately John & Adi did not exist in my world today so much) ...

I vomitted all the strawberry milkshake in the car as we got into the
parking lot of our flat ... Mom is not impressed that her car is going
to smell ... and I can't tolerate the small of vomit ... Thanks to
Sarahan being on call always ... I am better ... Thanks Dr Sarahan!!!)
