It still shocks me when I think that this little human is 5 years and 4 months! (Zaz was exactly this age when Azi was born! And yet zaria was in her school uniform and seemed all so Grown up! Going on play dates by herself, having a big circle of friends, helping out with az, sleep overs at Granny Rona etc) ... Azi still seems like our little 'baby' - I still call her my 'baby' and I often forget and tell people she's 4! (Second child syndrome)
But actually, in her own little way, she is very grown up! (And I wish time could freeze)
When I pick her up from school, the kids from her class all go and play under the 2 lonesome trees in the parking lot. Because I still need to go into the other part of the school and get Zaz! Azi runs ahead and asks any of the other parents, 'will you look after me while my mom picks up my older sister?'
Azi uses words like, 'pal' and 'bad boys' in a very cute context. Like she will be putting on her new shoes and say, 'look at these bad boys' ... or call phil, and say, 'come here my pal'
She adores zaria but also is very good at dobbing on zaria
She loves fish! In any form! Tinned, grilled, fried!
She loves cheese and youghurt and milk
And chocolate rice cakes and biltong and carrots and red peppers
She loves being part of the action - if it before 8:30pm, 8:30pm and Azi turns into a moaning monster!
She can 'nag' ... she nags for anything her friends have, their water bottle, their lunch box, shoes like them! And when she does get something - she is extremely grateful!
She loves helping out in the kitchen and house
She loves coloring in and cutting!
She adores her dad! And asks non-stop about when dad is coming home!
We do love our little az!
