'Picture it, yeshiva primary nursery school 198..., 2 little freckle face girls standing across from each other... who knew that this friendship was going to grow' ... (Something like that) ... was my speech to Candi at her batmitzvah 28 years ago!!!!

I also said at the end of the speech, 'of every freckle was a kiss from Gd, you will be blessed with Health, happiness and success... '

Candies, TG we have both been blessed with Health and happiness, and success - you have done amazingly!

What a way to celebrate 40! A reunion after 12 years!

Sunday continued

With a walk through the upper east side!

Loving all the Jewish (schmutzy) and super popular Delis! (We got a take away bagel, if I was with phil, would have definitely sat for a plate of chopped liver and pickles)!

Then a quick stop for the famous super crunchy in outside, super melty in inside 'lavein' biscuits (no wonder there was a que for them)

Then SHOPPING .. floors and floor at uniqlo! Floors and floors at H&M

Delicious vegan dinner at 'I'm chloe'

The perfect Sunday

Started with a 'lie-in' at my hotel!!!! (Ahhh! I do miss staying in bed till 9 or later)!

Then catching the subway 'uptown' (I have helped some 'foreigners' with directions)

Seeing Cassi and robs awesome apartment! Cassi preparing us all a protein packed breakfast (to get us through the hours of walking!)

Going to Cassis local, everyday 'park' - Central Park and seeing all her 'spots'

Throwing autumn leaves!!!

Amazing light show

Walking past saks fifth avenue (as one does when in NY 😊), we saw this awesome light show! The colors keep changing to the sound of the music and the theme and music is to snow while and the 7 dwarfs (and Xmas theme), as are the windows (which we could not get near to see)

Omg! Vegan!!

Super delicious vegan 'cafe' / take away! Love love love!!

Incredible Manhattan!!!!

So - having lived in Malta for almost 2 years! (Time flies), you get used to that malta is a small island in the middle of the med! Which means small shops, a small shopping mall, and being able to get your 'basics' - which is fine and good when you in Malta! ... BUT then you step off the island (Well, fly off the island) and i feel
Like brook shields (wishful) from 'blue lagoon' where she comes to the city for the first time! And her eyes pop out!!!

Well. I have been lucky to have that experience 3 times in 2 years (Sydney, cologne, Cape Town) ... BUT NY takes it to a WHOLE other level!!!!

In 1 day, in basically a tiny radius of 2 Manhattan neighborhoods - I saw about 20 DIFFERENT ice cream shops (shaved ice cream, ice cream served in a fish cone, raw cookie dough ice cream, smoothie in a 'structure' form ice cream) and then of course, all the different 'normal' Italian ice cream places with every flavor under the sun! Ice cream is just one example of the VARIETY and DIVERSITY

Then there is this massive shop just selling SOCKS! Yes, socks. Or how about making your own unique lipstick color! Or what about a massive shop selling rainbow cakes! (Unicorn is huge here) ..

Or what about mini mini cupcakes (I can't begin to describe the multiple cupcake shops), or the rice pudding store! Or paying $10 to write your name in play dough on a wall!

And then there is the LINES! Wherever we went there was body guards and lines! 3 DIFFERENT lines in different areas - just to go into ONE 'supreme' clothing store! .. about 400 people lining up on different streets, to collect their pre-ordered 'jezeeey' runner from adidas! ... crazy!

This is on top of all the 'regular' massive stores - Zara, uniqlo etc!

Im sure there will be more of these posts!

But now, I'm going to get out of the water, put on my human legs and go explore this crazy city!
