Buses in Malta!!!

So ... This was my day today ... 

Wait, wait wait for buses ... Get on bus - Bus driver is ON his mobile phone (no handsfree) ... I will not punch my ticket - he looks at me as if I am mad, I then say calmly, 'I am waiting for you to get off the phone' ... which he does ... surprisingly - there are actually big signs on the streets that say E200 for using mobile phones while driving ... 

Coming home .. Azi is happily asleep in the pram ... The buses are getting really full with tourist ... a couple in their 60's get on - they stand by Azi's pram, I indicate to the guy that he must sit on the seat - he insists on standing by the seat ... (A fold up seat) ... 

The BUS driver starts shouting that twice somebody has pressed the buttons and he has stopped and nobody has gotten off so he is NOT stopping again! ... Everybody looks around to see who the person is who is pressing the button - A big friendly black guy from the back of the bus comes to this 60 year old guy- whose in the front of the bus - and shows him that his by mistake pressing the button ... 

We drive off .. the bus suddenly BREAKS (which is not uncommon) ... this 60 year old guy goes flying backwards basically nearly falling ontop of azi who is sleeping in the Pram - I had to push him forward to avoid him falling into the pram ...I of course get a fright and say, 'please sit on the seat' ...I then apologise, he says he doesn't speak English 

I am always SO grateful that we get off the bus in one piece!
