Just a little story ...
So Yesterday. 'Sunday' I did this 'Emotional Detox' workshop ... It was TOTALLY different to what I expected ... It was my new friend - Eli ... who practises
'Life Alignment' and another 'Alternative Health Person' .. Anyway, I went OPEN minded ..
So 8 women sat down with Eli and Pippa (the other course facilitator) to 'Emotionally Detox' .. Pippa explained that she does Theta Healing ... 'Ok I thought'
(Sorry - I need to back track for a bit .. For the last few weeks I have been thinking about studying Masters in Clinical Psych, Counselling, Parenting Coaching, Gestalt Therapy, Gottman Practitioner, Circle of Security facilitator, Sex/Teen Personal Growth Facilitator ... Yes, long list) ...
So when I heard about 'Theta healing' and 'Life Alignment' I was a bit like, 'Whatever' ... But i stayed OPEN minded ...
The day consisted of Eli 'testing' the group (like sort of kinesiology testing), then she would put her life alignment cards into a certain sequence and then
based on that ... Pippa would lead us through a Meditation sort of, where she would ask us questions etc ... (This apparently takes you past the Alpha
state and into the deeper 'Theta state' ...
And then people would chat about what they felt from that mediation etc etc ... WELL - the rest of the group described all these visions and and pictures
and images that they saw ... At one stage I actually said, 'What are you guys smoking' ... I saw nothing, I just had a GREAT few snoozes... (and tried to
remember the really good questions Pippa was asking)
Thankfully my one friend was also there and we managed to have a bit of a chuckle about this Mother and Daughter who were at the session ... OMG
they were like a live comedy show, without even knowing it!!! (Shame man!!)
I left there feeling really relaxed .. Got on the bus ... (Had to get off the bus and run to cafe toilet - So I thought, 'Ok - it's detoxed something' )
Came home, kids, relaxed etc
TODAY - I had an AWESOME day ... Call it co-incedence!
Through a series of e-mails etc ... I suddenly thought - 'Study NUTRITION' ... It feels like such a good fit!
I met this guy who sells this skin care range, we chatted for over an hour ... Usually Azi doesn't let me talk to anyone ... (When we leave school in the
mornings she actually says from her pram, 'don't stop and talk to anyone' ) ... Today she chilled as I spoke to this guy ... Then me and this guy (while I was trying his skin care products - anyone heard of Vina Vera?) started talking about food (of course) - and he mentioned that his bringing a health food
cafe from Israel to Malta - do I want to be involved? EXCITING!
Left there on a high ... meeting with him next week- who knows?
Then I went to Yoga ... and my mind was bouncing with ideas and the penny finally fell ... I have been thinking about starting a FB page for ages (one
that can hopefully generate some money) ... in yoga tonight I got it 'Healthy Mamas Malta' ...
So yes, the yoga was not 'relaxing and meditative' ... BUT it was creative and fun!
