Gruffalo

Mom Says, 'I took cute pics today ... but somehow they all got erased ... hopefully it is a problem that is sorted now. Anyway, the play of the Gruffalo in in 1 of the theaters in Sydney and we are going to see it with Ally and Kat. Today at the fabulous library that they have here - Double Bay library they were having the story-telling of the Gruffalo and then a guest appearance by the Gruffalo ... we chatted about it before ... we got to the library with all the Moms and Kids ... As soon as the lady sat down to read the story and said, 'Some of you might be a bit frightened of the Gruffalo' ... ZaZ put up her hands - manners that she learns at Montessori schooling (Thanks Shelly) ... and says, 'You donl't have to be scared ... the Gruffalo is very friendly' ... Then the lady asked who has read the Gruffalo, ZaZ put her hand up and gave a whole summary of the story ... After she said let's sing so that the Gruffalo comes out ... ZaZ walked to stand next to the lady and sang this new song ... THEN the Gruffalo came out and ZaZ hid in my lap, eyes CLOSED for the whole time he was there ... Once he left, she was up again, singing, talking and telling everyone that the Gruffalo is friendly ... ' 

The whole day she tols me, 'when we see the Gruffalo play if Ally and I don't like him we will just close our eyes ... we don't have to be scared'. 

These kids are funny! 

ZaZ and I spent the whole rainy afternoon at Bondi Junction ... CAREFULLY shopping ... I was super impressed that ZaZ was fine the whole day in the shops! We went into Kmart, I wandered down the aisle and then I heard ... 'Mom, come here quick' ... to which she pulled me ... 'This is the most beautiful thing you have ever seen ... ' To which she showed me a pink umbrella' ... Just to put you in the picture, ZaZ had a Tyrrell Katz Fairy umbrella which I had to sell to a customer (second hand price) ... I told ZaZ it disappeared - to which she has been asking for an umbrella ever since and I said we can get one in Australia ... So when we saw this (overly priced one) ... I said ZaZ, do you want the umbrella or this Dora Beanie', 'Umbrella' .. 'ZaZ there is a Hello Kitty umbrella at the other shop ... do you want that one' ... very nicely she said, 'I would like this umbrella' ... I was SUPER impressed by her decisive decision and sticking to her decision - definitely Phil's kid!' 

I LOVE you my daughter ... To which ZaZ replies, 'Thank you my Wife' ... and calls Auntie Cas 'My daughter or my Child' ...
