Oh vey ...

Mom says, ‘I have been a terrible blogger ... It was so easy to blog in Oz ... I was completely stress-free and did not have anything else to think about besides ZaZa, ZaZa, ZaZa (and the shop sales on bras and shoes) ... Also I did not have to disconnect my internet to download photos on the computer in Oz.
Come back to CT and the world of reality ... And I only have 1 USB port on the fancy scmancy MacBook Air ... So I have to disconnect everytime I want to download photos ... And then I am BUSY – teaching, work, keeping house, playdates, me time, ZaZa time, Phil time, doing lots of exciting initiative on the side ... So blogging takes a fourth seat ... Oh well – stuff happens ...
Update – what is ZaZa up to – SO MUCH – it is hard to jot it down and document it ...
Let’s just say that I printed out photos of her for the FIRST time this week – this involved going to be external hard-drive and digging up photos of her first year ... Looking at the photos I kept thinking – she was so boring then ...  She is so much more fun now!
She is a complete personality ... Very confident in her own space ... And at times very assertive and bossy with other kids ... She will defend her toys, and let other kids know exactly what is naughty (by wagging her finger at them) ... I wonder if this assertiveness is a good thing or not ...
She is exceptionally nurturing and loving – LOVES to give other babas food, their dummies, bottles (sometimes against their will) ... She LOVES to HUG and kiss ... Super cute ...
Word wise is an explosion ... Basically copying everything I say ... The other day I said, ‘you have a stinky in your nappy’ and scrunched my nose and waved my hand infront of my face ... Well, ZaZa was doing that a second later ... Too cute!!
She is very into calling me from the bedroom - ‘Giaaaaa, Giaaaaa, Mommy, Mom, Giiaaa’
Our Nanny’s name is Lindelwa, and she walks around calling, ‘Delwa’, ‘Delwa’ ...
She is still obsessed with ‘Frog’, ‘Barney’, ‘Bop’ ... And a new one – ‘Dora and Monkey’ ...
I love it when she says, ‘Strawberry’, ‘Raffe’, ‘Shops’, ‘Bye, Bye’ - while closing the door on somebody ...
Her classmates, ‘Tali’ (for Naphtali), ‘Zain’, ‘Sashi’and of course her teacher, ‘Tammy’

But my all time fav at the moment is the fact that she is TRULY South African, and everything is, ‘Ya’ or ‘Yaaaaa’ with an upward inflection or ‘Yaaaaa’ with a downward inflection ... I just want to EAT her up ...

I think I am totally OBSESSED with ZaZa ... And even when she is naughty I feel like hugging and kissing and eating her up ....

I love you my ZaZa pooo!!! ‘
