Mom writes ...

‘ZaZa is at such a cute stage ... I know I say that about every stage. BUT a few stories that I want to remember (and I an sure there are more) ... It amazes me how as to how much she absorbs and how quickly she learns new things.
- the other day I said, ‘come ZaZ we are going to the shops’. So she went to her room to get her bag, and put her baba in her bag (this bag is a cardboard one) - this is now a regular thing. But, then she started saying, ‘money, money’ ... To which she marched to our container of coins, and took a 5c coin. She put in in her bag and out the house she marched. As soon as we left the house, she started searching her bag for her money (which I realised she is probably coping me – constantly searching my bag). Once found, I showed her how to put her money in her pocket. This she was very impressed by. Off to the shops we go, with her constantly putting her money in her pocket, losing it, me helping her and her finding it. When I went to the one shop, while I was paying she found herself a nice water bottle, came to the teller and held up her new-found bottle and and 5c coin. SO SWEEETTT!!! And then when I was paying for my parking – out come the 5c coin, which she insisted on going into the machine.
- When Bern was here, she kept doing her baby sign for Bern – which is hand on head. And when Bern left for days after every morning she put her hand on her head and looked around for him.
- Yesterday morning, I always put toner on a cotton wool pad, and HAVE to give ZaZa one – with toner on, if I don’t put the toner on she passes it back. Then we throw it into the toilet. But yesterday she took her cotton wool pad to the living room and started scrubbing the tables, saying, ‘dirty, dirty’.
- Her new word is ‘bum’ to which she points to her bum (or mine, or Phil’s) and also to her vagaga (Thanks Opera for the great word).
- Granny Rona bought her this felt wall chart with the alphabet and a toy for each letter. So Gran went through the letters with her, when they got to T, there is a little felt toothbrush – to which she insisted on marching off to Phil in the bathroom, putting toothpaste on, and marching back to Gran.
- Every morning she wakes up and says, ‘Barney, Barney’ ... Then we watch an episode of Barney. This morning I decided to try Sesame Street. I was really enjoying it (Thanks Maya for the suggestion). But half way through, ZaZa shouted, ‘Barney, Barney’. So I said lets watch this a bit more. I few minutes later she raises her hand in a stop motion. I ignore – because I was enjoying Elmo. But then she started shouting, ‘bye, bye and blowing kisses’ at Elmo – I think it was time to change.
- ZaZa is still kissing all the animals in the book, her babas and all sorts of things. She says ‘bye, bye’ and blows kisses to dogs, statues, every person – super cute.
- BUT for me – the cutest is at the moment ‘Baba’ has to do everything first, get dressed, eat, go down the slide ... And then Zaria shouts, ‘ZaZAAA’ with this upwards inflection and does the activity – I WANT TO EAT HER!
-Oh yes, another munch moment – is when she says ‘please’ and then we you give her something she automatically says , ‘thank you’ in the cutest little voice.
I LOVE YOU PUMPKIN PATCH ...
