Mom Speaks ...

‘Yes, it is Mom here again ... I feel like I would like to write every night, or more like every second of every day ... I wish I could document ZaZa’s entire life, cause there are so many things that happen in a day ... But by the time I get onto the computer at night ... I am so tired, or some of the things have slipped my mind ... But I will try dig deep and write (Let me add that these things may seem arbitrary to others ... But they are very cute to Phil and I ... And definitely things that I want to remember).
- I am absolutely LOVING Zaria at this age ... I know I have said that a lot ... But I a, REALLY REALLY LOVING her ... I just want to hug and squeeze and kiss her all the time ... I am totally LOVING all the little things she is doing (when I think back to when she was a baby – I think how boring).
- ZaZa is like a sponge watching and absorbing everything ... And copies everything. For example, after a shower I put my leg up onto the bath to put cream on ... The bath is way to high for ZaZa, but now in the shower there is a little ledge, so she puts her leg up like me and rubs the soap on.
- Also, I make juice in the juice extractor and then go and get a straw. Now, without even asking ZaZa will get a straw for me and then go back and get a straw for herself. And then one day, she just automatically took out two straws ... (Also, ZaZa is the only kid I know who drinks fresh carrot, beetroot, ginger, parsley, spinach, mint, apple juice ... )
- She cues everything ... If we go in the car, she points to the boot to make sure the pram is there, after the bath she points to the massage oil to put onto her etc etc
- The baby sign is totally awesome, we know exactly what she wants ... Especially at 3 in the morning when I wake up to the vroom vroom sound (as she rubs her finger on her mouth) for water.
- She absolutely LOVES her baba and pram ... And loves to role-model. If I put my foot onto the big pram to undo the brake, she does the same on her pram. Because I carry a handbag, she wants to carry a handbag ...
- ZaZa has definitely started the two year old tantrums ... And will stamp her feet and lie on the floor if she is feeling frustrated ... She has also taken to biting when she is frustrated or just wants to play ... Hmmmm
- She Loves to Hug and kiss everybody. She will automatically hug all her little friends ... She wants to kiss everybody goodbye and will lean forward as soon as she says bye.
- When she hurts herself, I kiss where she hurt herself. So today when she fell on her arm, she stood up and kissed her arm – TOO CUTE!
- She is very into kissing all her furry, beaded toys ... She also likes to feed all these babas, make them drink water (including the babas in the books), and rub cream on these babas
- She remembers everything ... If we take somebody in the car, the next few trips she will point to the spare car seat ... At Clamber Club we knock on the door before opening it to take something out ... So today when I opened the door, she was very upset that I did not knock and let me know...
- ZaZa is going through her ‘obsessive phase’ - all of a sudden, she is very irritated by the little bit of pain on the babas arm, or her hands that have sand on them, or if she has drawn on her hand ... Now I definitely have obsessions, but cleanliness is not one of them – I hope she snaps out of this on soon ...
- She is a very determined, funny, entertaining, happy, loveable little pumpkin!!!
I LOVE you more and more each day ... If that is possible.
