“This is a blog that is long overdue ... For a long time I have been thinking about why I keep this blog. It started off as a way to share with people overseas (especially my mom) about Zaria and her day to day self and development. Then, I thought, it is a great way to show ZaZa one day all about herself as a little baba ... (and how very cute she was!). I have decided now, that it is great for these two reasons AND as a reminder to me (the mom) as to what Zaria has been doing, who she is, what she is getting up to. I feel that as present as I am to every day ... the days still seem to be passing very quickly, I am still shocked that just over a year ago she still was in my tummy! So, all in all – this blog is a daily journal for me, overseas family, ZaZa ... And everyone else. (Please internet do not suddenly disappear – because then I will never have a record of ZaZ)
Thus, this post is long overdue. I have been wanting to write for ages what ZaZa is getting up to (sorry if there is repetition from previous posts)
Here goes:
- She is 13 months and a few days old today...
- After doing baby sign language since she was about 7 months (just a few words) and then ZaZa using the sign for milk for EVERYTHING – it has finally clicked – she now taps her chest (instead of her throat) to indicate dog (especially Sushi) and yesterday she started to indicate bird – very cute
- She waves goodbye, blows kisses (while saying mmmwwwaaa), and puts both her hands on her head when Bern say Oh Vey (of course – none of these are done on demand)
- She grabs my top and looks everywhere for ‘milk’ when she is hungry
- She LOVES eating bananas – but only if she can hold the skin part – she can gobble a whole banana in a few minutes
- She holds food in her hand for ages – crawls all around with it etc
- She puts any sort of cream in her hair – as if she is washing it
- She says ‘Hiya” to the telephone or anybody she meets
- She points and shouts “Baba” to any child
- She is an adventure addict – loves diving off beds, crawling behind tiny spaces, climbing through anything, being thrown up in the air etc
- ZaZa loves anything with a tomato flavour, loves tomatoes, grapes, ice-cream, lindt chocolate (even the chilli one)
- She is floating beautifully in the water with armbands
- She totally rubs her eyes and scrunches her entire face when tired
- She loves long luxurious baths – and has started loving to stand in the bath all the time (does not like the shower)
- Any water bowl on the floor – she will find and splash around in, or crawl into shower room and splash on floor
- Unlike her Dad, she loves the beach sand – and has no problem eating on the beach – and getting a mouthful of sand
- She takes pooing really seriously and is very verbal about it – pushing really well
- ZaZa is very expressive, she will ‘shout’ loudly when she wants something – and is very stubborn – she will look everywhere for my cell phone (like her mother)
- She is an exceptionally smiley and happy baby (T-G) ... She loves looking at people, watching people – a real social butterfly
- She is pushing herself up to standing position, and is going into downward facing dog
- Loves putting lids onto things and taking them off
- ZaZa laughs hysterically – especially when she is overtired
- As soon as music comes on, or you say – let’s sing a song, ZaZa raises her hands up and does twinkle twinkle little star hands
- As soon as music comes on she ‘dances’
- If ZaZa does something well, she claps her hands
- ZaZa plays, “where’s ZaZa”, by raising her hands onto her head and then dropping them and saying, ‘There”
I am sure I have left some things out ... But alas, that is a long list for now.
Most of all, I love you little ZaZa – P-G you grow healthy, happy and fulfilled each and every day. Thank you for making my days so happy and full!
