Laugh of the week

Azi was telling me how the one kid in her class told Azi that her breath smells after she ate her rice salad

Azi said ... 'I don't smell anything when I eat that rice salad ... she must have a sense of humor' 😂😂😂

Out of the blue

We walking to Ballet ... Azi says

Azi: how far is Granny and bern?

Mom: very far, a whole night and day on the plane

Azi: so it's a big plane?

Mom: yes

Azi: so it will have tv for me to watch?

Mom: yes

Azi: I'm going to sit next to Dad

Mom: dads not coming

A bit of a moan and groan from Azi, me explaining Dad needs to stay and work

Mom: would you prefer we all stay with dad, or me you and Zaz go visit Granny and bern

Azi: I think Granny and bern should buy a flat in Pender gardens and then we can visit them
All the time!

My fave books/ Age ten - January 31st

Im home sick so decided to make a list of my favourite 10 books (not in order)! Here we go

1. Harry Potter - obviously - Age Eight +

2. Wonder - such a inspirational book about a boy with a facial disorder and how he goes through middle school and the views of everyone around him. There's even a movie! - All ages

3. Cinder and Ella - I really like this book about two people who meet online neither knowing who the other is, they fall in love and finally meet. Ella went through a car crash and Cinder, Brian Oliver is a world famous actor. The story is about both of their lives and the second one is about how they cope with the fame. - Age twelve +

4. The Kingmaker - The Kingmaker is a series about a girl who is a kingmaker, which means as tradition goes her throat will be slit on her 17th birthday and her blood will be drank by her two older brothers to define who will rule. The wise woman of the town tells her that she instead will live and rule as queen. Her brothers plot against her though and not and it ends up in an epic battle for the crown.- Age Ten +

5. Once and Then - A series of books including, Once, Then, Soon and After. I am still busy reading this book but it is about a boy who is Jewish during WW2 and hiding in a christian orphanage, then he finds out about the nazis and runs away to find his parents who said they would come back to him 3 years before. - Age Ten +

6. Scarlet an Ivy - A series of books about twins at a boarding schools where very mysterious things happen including, the principle locking one of them up in an asylum, there mother, whose dead now faking her identity to a girl who had tried to tell everyone about the evil headmaster, a mysterious town under a lake these twins are forced to uncover all these mysteries and many more. Age 9 +

7. Murder most unladylike - Also a series of books about two best friends who find wherever they go a murder happens, being the detectives that they are they figure out these murders while meeting very interesting people along the way. - Age Ten +

8. Despereaux - Most people don't very much enjoy this book but I find it fantastic. About all these different characters lives and how they all end up in one castle dungeon, with the main character being a brave mouse with very big ears. - Age 8 +

9. The dragon girl - Two books about a girl in China who works for the dragon keeper, the dragon keeper is mean though and the girl has to free the dragon before its to late. - Age Nine +

10. Horrible Histories - These books are very simple funny books about as you probably guessed horrible histories there great books two grab when you just want to have a laugh while learning something at the same time. Age 6 +

Morning chirps from Azi

We get into the car ... and out of the blue Azi says ...

'What are we going to buy when we go back to Australia'

So there was some confusion between all of us - if she is talking about going back for holiday or forever one day ..

Eventually she clarified that it's when we go back forever

When we got to school, she said to me, 'mom - you need to PLAN, PLANNING is important ... we going to need beds and everything' - very serious tone!

Oh goodness - she obviously picked up that her parents are not the planning type 😉😉😉

Trampoline bday party fun

Where did my baby go?

Suddenly baby Azi went - and nearly 5 year old Azi arrived!

She says things like 'wait for the finale' and today in the car while we were all laughing to a joke, she said, 'I don't get the joke' ... she is happier, funnier, more chilled, more dramatic than her 4 year old self, more full of stories and expressions!

I can't believe when Zaz was this age I was 3 months pregnant with az! (Definitely no pregnant now TG) ... I can remember Zaz 5th bday party at our big kitchen and everyone being happy for me 😊

Very happy with these 2 stinkies!
