... When your husband and daughter go to SA for 10 days!
Well ... I have done a lot of schmutzing, beaching, watching tv (channel E and lifestyle), beaching!
But then the guilt if not doing any domestic chores sets in ... So off I went to buy containers (ok - this was fun - I have a not-so-secret fetish for storage shopping) ...
I then attempted to SORT out zarias bedroom!!! This is not fun - putting each little Barbie shoe in a container, little hairbrushes etc etc! Finally everything is in containers and lots thrown away! (Thank goodness (or hopefully) zaz doesn't have attachment to things - so hopefully she won't notice that her broken wand that she plays with for hours has disappeared! )
Going to put pics on each container and hopefully zaz can learn to pack away (not sure if anything will ever be opened - zaz can play with a tissue for hours)
I have done my clothes cupboard - packed away all my Pre-pregnancy clothes! Which created loads of cupboard space for PG babas clothes!
Medicine cupboard done!
Now just kitchen!
Just to be clear - this is not nesting! Nesting you want to do ... This is a chore and necessity!
I still can't believe that this time last year I was sorting, throwing and packing and now I'm doing it again!!!
How do us humans gather and make such a mess?!

Last year this year!!
Last year this time I was busy sorting and chucking to come to Australia!
This year this time - I am busy sorting and chucking to get things tidy and in order!
How did we manage to create such a mess in 9 months!!!!

Then went onto have an awesome massage (present from Phil organized by me :) ... Then Shabbat supper @ Kat and a stunning cookies and cream ice cream cake by mom and Cas!

Found a petrol ticket expiring on my birthday! And the clamber kids @ green gables surprised me when I was leaving with singing happy birthday!
And of course! Loads of phone calls and beautiful messages!

Berns 70th!
Zaz was SUPER excited about celebrating berns 70th @ the adults party! In the night!!!
Although - I think she was more excited about getting ready with Cassi! Hair, make-up, fancy shoes! Super exciting!
The party was great! And zaz had a jol with ally! And then passed out @ 9:30pm!
(Woke up bright and springy in the morning ready for the flight to SA!)

Kitchen by Mike! (Or mikes kitchen - as I like to calm it)
Cassi and I have been wanting to go to this restaurant for ages! We were not too sure what to expect! But we're pleasantly surprised!
My birthday was the perfect occasion venture out! We arrived at a massive warehouse!
It was 2pm - so only a few people were sitting @ the massive tables! But I imagine @ lunch time it's packed!
Luckily behind the counter and glass the dishes were still filled with yummy salads, roast chicken and veg dishes!
Unfortunately, with my strict pregnancy diet restrictions and cassis fussy eating - we could not taste everything! BUT what we did choose tasted DELICIOUS!!!!! Bursting with flavor!!! All dishes up into enamel plates!
You pay per portion - and it does add up pretty quickly (2 salads - $20ish) ... My fav was their homemade sour dough - perfectly flaky and holey inside and crunchy crunchy crust! This was served with roasted butternut, caramelized onion (feta) and watercress!!!
I will definitely be liking their Facebook page. As everything is FRESH they post @ 9am their menu for the day!
Their breakfast and tea also look great! I will definitely be back (especially for their sour dough)! ... Their kitchen is completely exposed and we saw them kneading the dough ... And stuff the chicken with beer cans :)
Besides for all their funky bits around the shop - they have a massive (overpriced) homeware shop @ the back!
Oh yes - and their bathrooms are clean and 'organic'
